30 potential folding GHz

I'm supervising a PC marathon this weekend, going from Friday at 7pm til Sat at noon. Who needs sleep? Well it is 3.30 in the morning, and I'm quite frankly getting a bit tired.

Anyway, just wanted to share a few pics from this PC Marathon.

Imagine the folding power at this place!
(I have actually persuaded a few of them to fold - thanks guys!)

Well here they are..

Heya Henrik, I was waiting for you to see this thread!

I hope you get a good overclock out of that fine P4 of yours when you get the new cooler. As I told you, it is a shame to have a CPU like that and use STOCK cooling! However, I don't think 3.8 GHz is realistic, but 3.5 GHz probably isn't impossible. The average overclocked speed of that kind of CPU's is about 3550 MHz.

You need WaterChill, hehehe.

Fold on!

Why only 3.5 Ghz? i´ve seen a movie where they clock a 2.6C Ghz to 3.4 With no problems! and that is a "****" (sry) cooler!

But let os now see

Well, you could overclock the good stepping 1700+ Tbreds way more than you could overclock the say 2000+.

What I'm trying to say is that not all CPU's overclock alike. You need to see what other 3.0's can do, not what some 2.6 can do.

Just because a 2.6 can have an extra 800 Mhz, doesn't mean that a 3.0 can overclock just as much.

I think you should be a bit more realistic and go for 3.5 GHz at first. You can always move on from there.
