stealth install on mother's PC

If this is posted somewhere else, just hook me up with a link, I believe it would be a common question.

Well, I built my mother a PC last year, basically it was my old PC, celeron 433MHz, and how ever much ram i was able to fit in the slots, no idea really. I just upgraded it to a celeron 1.1GHz and I would like to keep it folding whenever it is on, and I would like to have it only send up the results/get new work when the computer is connected to the internet (dialup). I used to use some command line program to hide the console, but I want it to be invisible from startup. It's running windows 98 now, can I install it as a service? I would play around now, but its on step 90,000 out of 1,000,000, so I don't want to lose my work lol.

Any help would be awesome, also, can I limit the usage to like 50% or something similar? I have this 1.1GHz machine thats usually left on at my parents house, so might as well use it. Hehe, it might be faster than 1.1GHz when I pull the pep66 off my other computer.

It's my computer, so I can just ask her to leave the console open as it is now, but in the long run I want it stealth.

Use russianmissile1's console installer its stealthy. You dont have an annoying dos window up or the little gear in the toolbar.

@jazz - I'm not sure how services work under Win98. It might not install correctly. Still, it should be worth a shot.

@Cyberey66 - You can tell the regular client how much CPU usage to pull by setting it in the configuration. I have no idea how to tell a service or console client how to do that.

i would imagine you would config it the same as console... you know with the "fahcon.exe -config only" type thing going on?

I believe Toro is correct on the config thing for a service. Just alter the client.cfg file.
