I was looking around the google labs section of the google empire, and i found a section dedicated to their folding@home team http://toolbar.google.com/dc/offerdc.html

Google has been doing this for ages with their toolbar. At first, they even appeared in the stats, but this was soon changed..

I have never tried it myself, but from the sound of this part: "When you enable Google Compute" it isn't something that is turned on by defualt.

Look at the bottom of the page.....latest versions no longer support it.

No doubt some people getting angry at the fact their pcs were never "idle"

I know it's for a good cause but people should atleast be told that by installing the Google toolbar you are also contributing your CPU power to Stanford University Medical Research.
