| You can run the SMP folding@home client, or you can run two instances of the command-line client. We have an installer for that in AOAFiles, here that RussianMissile created a while back. It installs as a service, so that it is basically 'fire and forget'.

| I tried running two instances. I copied the FAH504-Console file into to separate directories, then ran them both, I imagined that it would set itself up twice, once for .exe I ran. But it didnt, only one did.

| You have to configure them with separate machine ids.

| Create two folders call one core 0 and the other core 1 Copy the client into each folder. Run the client and make sure you say yes to run as service and yes to advanced options. Then name each core 0 and 1 respectfully. After they dl the cores, go to task manager to see if you have 100% load on both cores. Then reboot and recheck to see if they are running.

| Thanks, I think I might have it working now. Also, EMII doesnt save the computers in my list of machines when I reboot. They are lost. Yet it works in XP. Any thoughts?

all went flawlessly when setting up the newest dual core. I liked it so much I used it on another dual core. I will use this again and recommend it to all dual core folders as the only way to insure that F@H is installed and working correctly. don't forget to edit the client config. Ivan will take all the points he can get. Ron |
