Commitments for the new year

I figured I could rally the troops a little.

Let me start off by saying how much I appreciate each and everyone on team 45. No matter if you have one machine crunching part time or if you have a farm putting out 24K per day....You are part of this team and your efforts are appreciated.

I appreciate the enthusiasm that many of you show and the fact that so many of you learn better ways and actually post guides to help the team out is just beyond words.

So a Big thank you to all....

Now.

I know there are same that are doing all thy can and again that is great. However, there are some out there that can do more and are probably planning on doing more. So here it the place to post your plans to increase the yield. Let us know what you have and what changes you are planning.

Thanks to you all and have a great a prosperous new year.

I'll try not to crash my rigs and add a 3.2Ghz AM2 to the cause.

I hope to have my cluster up in the next month or so, more of a knowledge / entertainment quest than anything else, but I am sure it will be productive in the fold as well.

I've been working on a Gentoo based LiveCD that will run entirely in memory, boot to a minimal desktop and start folding without any user intervention on 256MB of RAM.. It's coming along alot slower than I would like but my field of expertise is surely not computers..

Happy New Year to all;

After I get this quadcore settled down I may add two more in my shop servers. Those are the machines that no one uses but me

@Sam: And, err, umm, when I have time to kill I may just get a watercooled 185 running at home Haven't started yet ;(

Good luck to all of us in '08

I'm going to "fix" a box for one of my bosses (ie it needs a new mobo) I think I'll have it fold as well. (P4 @ 2ghz)

I finally tracked down a HSF holder for it at a local computer store today.
Woot!

We shall see.

Happy New Year All
To get most of this stuff watercooled,To swap the SLI-DR Expert on the main rig to the CFX3200
and get 2 X 3870s thereby releasing the 1900XTX for folding on a single core Opteron 146.
To sometime this year go quadcore although saving for a new sporty asbo broom broom may prevent that.

Smiffy;
Heh, gotta love Jeremy and TG: my favorite car show for years. I can even see it here in Thailand. Catch it whenever I can.

Good luck with the wheels, looks like a fun car. Didja see how that thang oversteered? He had three wheels down and one up for a moment. Those guys really know how to push a car. I don't do much hard driving anymore like I used to - owned Corvettes for years, including a vintage one...but you couldn't do that to a 'Vette.

All the best car shows come from England. Jeremy, Hamster, Tiff, and "Captain" Slow...what a crew.
