I love these intel mobile chips

2.5GHz@1.138V (T9300/default: 1.250V)
16min/% -> ~1500ppd
only 40W
and the notebook stays cool

My guy wasn't able to get those other machines running yesterday but he did it today.

Now 18 boxes running now. That's all of one shop; the kid that's working in the other one won't be able to handle the clients, so those machines have to wait until I get there, which will be by the end of this week.

If the game is still on.

The 15 we had running turned in around 25k in the last two days; we crashed and burned 2 WUs Friday. Oh, well.

Sweet deal. I love the race. It is short and frantic enough to keep in interesting.

I just did a little research and posted this at the OC Forum. It may be of interest to some of you:

Seems that even though we are the most SMP'd team by far
(average per WU over 1100 points), we have the least cores
folding. By far. With that kind of average, we wouldn't have
needed too many more cores...

Note the OCAU team name. The forum software is too funny.
Is B*LLO*KS really such a naughty word?
You would have to subtract the starting points to get the actual number of current points. I don't have that info, but you can get it at the stats page.

Cool

Chris, when I return, which will be 7 days after the Chimp Challenge race is over for team 32, you will know it.

Your team will neither be forgotten nor un-thanked.

I have looked into your team's "balance point" however. Where your point average alone is considered, AOA will be heading downward in ranking to about #140.

Our assistance will slow that down surely, but it will not stop it, in the long, long run.

Do you have any idea's or plans for recruiting/attracting more teammates? That seems to provide the only long-term solution.

It might be worthwhile looking into how other teams do this successfully, and then "cross pollinate" those idea's to suit your own particular situation and identity.

We have been struggling lately. We have a couple of heavy hitters but we really need more folders. Unfortunately, we only have so many members to pull from. I do realize that we are an inevitable slide downward. We will still continue to fight though.

After the challenge is over. I will have to take a better look at this.

Thanks for your encouragement. I'll see you over there from time to time.

@Sam:
I'm finally home.

Tomorrow I'm going around to shop#2, and I'll load the machines that haven't been running. These will run for T45. When the contest is over I'll switch shop#1 back. I will run the extra machines for awhile, until the pocket starts to hurt again. This way we'll make up some of what we've lost.

I have mixed feelings about the last 10 days but I think that we made a few friends, so that makes it worthwhile.

An install guide for the new beta client is forthcoming as soon as I can get to it.

I ma with you on the feeling on what happened. But I agree, new friends are always worth it.
I still hang out there from time to time. Been a member there since Feb of 01. SO I figured what the heck. We will join in. After the mark is hit I will rally some help for us. We dropped a little while we did this.
Still all in all it was a great time.
Thanks for all your help.
Ready to see those points rack up for T45.

The Chimp Challenge is in it's final 4 hours, with a close finish for second place between us and the [H]ardOCP team.

Thanks are next:

The immediate thanks that I had promised our SETI team has been deferred by them, until their own big race, in November.

AOA, you're next. I'll begin folding for you later this evening, after the Challenge has finished.

See you soon.
