Just got this protein called 601_BBAW_helix.
200 frames
1,000,000 dynamic steps required.

Its fast even on the laptop!!

Just wanted to give you guys the heads up.

I've been getting a lot of "GNRA pfold 314" myself, they are 50 frames long and take about 2min per frame . . .

I think/hope they are finally through with those "A" proteins, seems like I haven't seen a hairpin in ages too . . .

BTW: I thought I should note that CPU temperatures are a bit higher with those "GNRA pfold 314" proteins than with others. This could be accounted for in two ways:

1) Greater instruction parallelity for triple execution slot CPUs like the Athlon.

2) Less dependent instructions, which means less waiting between those instructions.

Or possibly some combination of the two . . .

the XP sys ate the 601_BBAW_helix @ 30sec per frame. then it got a GNRA pfold 314, 2min/frame. temps on the XP stayed the same 47c. the Athlon on the other hand ran the _helix @ 46c and the 314 @ 47c. +2c from others. there is something different that one. now have a 602_BBAW_hairpin 35sec/frame on the Athy @ 47c. ah ha, the heat just came on(forced air) and that gets my temps up about 2c. the register is closed and I have a ceiling fan turning or temps would go up 5c. my best guess on ambient is 24-25c.
the XP1800+@1610, Athy1.3@1510
