Send a message via ICQ to Superman

Delete the core, it'll download version 2.47 then.

Are there any direct benefits, bug fixes, or improvements to performance?

I'll change 1 machine over for now... Too much work to change 'em all without something to hang my hat on.

Got the server (24/7 folding box) running fine, but on my main machine (which has been folding 24/7 this week) it doesn't want to download the core. Tried with and without firewalls, seems to be a server issue, anyone else have this problem? (Tried copying the successfully downloaded core from the server but it insists on downloading something new).

Well, after 10 hours it never downloaded, so I lost a ProtA, but was able to just copy the folding files folder to folder and get it started on my gaming rig...

Curious, I've updated most of my machines. Aside from using a newer core, I haven't noticed any changes. Performance appears to be identical. oh, well... just as stable.
