ET, as i cannot test the new BIOS til next weekend, but intending to buy new RAM today i have a question: Does the BIOS let you increase the FSB in 1MHz increments to 250MHz, or are there only large steps possible (like between 200 and 211 in the last beta).

YES! Just tried with new BIOS
1MHz increments of FSB all the way up to 250MHz!
This is going to rule out all the nForce2 MBs!!

Note: using standard AWDFLASH parameters will resulted in "Part number mismatch"
error. add /QI switch is ok.
i.e. awdflash 8rc1c206.bin /py /sn /cc /QI

What RAM are u using Holst. I wanted to buy myself 2x256 Infineon PC333 Modules (do 222MHz @2-2-2-8) for 96? each, but now I am totally unsure, wheter I should pay the premium for Corsair XMS3500 modules for 156? each. A 60? difference per module is quite substantial...

The soundstrom driver no longer installs nor loads...going back to 2c03 for me...
Hope that's not something dealing with NVIDIA...

going back to 2c03 solves the problem.....
SoundStorm users should stay with 2c03

Many apologies folks - this BIOS is only for EP-8RDA which only uses MCP southbridge and hence no Soundstorm.

My typing error up above has perhaps confused this a little.

It will give you the oppurtunity in the mean time to check out the overclocking features if unfortunatley at the same time losing the extra goodies in the Southbridge

So if i don't use the onboard sound, then i'm okay to use this bios without losing anything? Or is there more missing?
