No, actually, you're right Rondog.

After I finished that post, I headed off and had a 1hr 45min nap. Darn hot weather.

We'd be happy to accomadate the Mod team in that way!

Bump.

The Mod Squad really hasn't been going as planned.

Could I possibly get some input from members (including admins), as to what to do about the Mod Squad?

Should we have a set amount of people within the Mod Squad, etc?

The way I see it, is like, when people post mods, the Mod Squad should check it over, comment and give a critical analysis of the mod.

Just a suggestion, because it seems that no-one doth be interested in modding any more. =( And it makes me look bad, as captain. =(

Comments, people, PLEASE!

I'm still here...

I am also wondering what is going on with the 'squad though - there seems to be a drought going on in terms of modding.

I don't think there has - it's just been going in the wrong place. All of Boomans stuff for example should, in my view, be part of it.
Instead, it's seperate.

Which is why, in my opinion, we should have 2 or 3 heads of the Mod Squad and all mods could be sent to them, where they could be properly presented for the front page, or even as an article.

Favu insisted on the same thing, too.

I sympathize. It's very hard to keep a momentum going when projects come at unexpected intervals and it's hard to know what to do with them beyond our simple admiration.

The difficulty with submissions is that:
A. Few will know about it. Many offer a mod with their first post.

B. Flow. They send it to someone who has their own life to live, then they edit, must summit to Front page.... seems an added step we don't really need. Front page can pick it up from the forums.

If I think of anything I'll let you know! ":O}

Thanks Daniel.

I really do need all the help I could get from the admins right about now.

A. most of the mods I have seen aren't really with people's first posts, but you're right, we would need to make it clear that people should send mods to people.

B. that's true, but I think that if we got three people together and maybe a centralised store, then they can hand the jobs to whoever is least busy at the time

Just thinking out loud here.
