The US dollar: I just hope it keeps dropping like a rock until my next review at work, as I am given a cost of living adjustment automatically each time my wage changes. Drive those prices up.

The US dollar will always recover. Do you think it would have dropped this low if it weren't for a reason. Come on, it is the currency of the crookedest government on the planet.

Now that I know better, scroll saw. Too slow will melt worse than too fast. You will have issues with the saw being unable to clear the chips from the blade at too low a speed. I got a very nice Hitachi scroll saw at Lowe's for $150 or so. It is a pain in the ass to thread the blade through a drilled hole at first, but you get used to installing blades half blind after 20 or 30 times.

2+ years to get the stuff into the case?
It appears you really know what you're talking about so I have confidence in your abilities, but come on already, quit keeping us in suspense.
I saw another mod someone did moving their xbox into a pc but not great detail and little picture. also sounded like a bit of a hack job.
I'm not looking to hack something to get it to work, ie tape to hold things together, etc.
I want real useable mods.
I'd hate to mod something and it not hold up to regular use and end up breaking perfectly good parts.
if I ever get the time and money i'll have to start testing some of this stuff myself but at the moment I don't even overclock because I can't afford to replace the parts early.
finish the xbox/PC mod soon please.

Much has happened in Raphael's life in the interim to intercede and prevent undertaking or completion of quite a few things of major importance to Raphael. The time has been more than difficult for him. I'm happy when he can post news of his situation.

I don't think we need hold anyone to projects that hard times have removed beyond past involvements.

Why not a wide open contest-with a few catagories- Make it fun. The highest p0ints going to the imagination, or the most creative use of milk cartons!
Or anything you guys deam feasible buy out in left field. Or any thing at all w/o any qualifications, just the one that impres you the most.

Can't you tell? I think I've got cheap mod in mind!

It's unfortunate, but I never got that mod completed. I had someone who was willing to buy the open Xbox off me for parts, so I ended up selling it.

I've managed to paint the inside of my P180 a nice glossy black. I have pictures! I'll put them up later. It looks sweet! ;D

Categories sounds good, PorPorMe. But as has been seen previously, we struggle to make the numbers up for a decent competition. If we get some decent interest, though, I don't see why we can't have a monthly thing going!

I'm going to be launching a modding site, and hoping, with the permission of the AOA admins, to have it affiliated with AOA, just so that the modding area can become a bit more publicised.

I was hopeing there would be some thing concrete put in place.
EVGA 790i Ultra gets here probly the end of next week and I'm going to start a build. I've got two ideas in mind but with out any lead, I think I'll go "outside the box"
I'll take pics along the way but I'm not going to post them untill the build is over. most of you would catch on to what I'm doing with the 1st couple of pics!
