| I will warn you: Those light up fans seam like a good idea when you get them but at 2AM when you're working hard in the dark with blue glare in your eyes you want to rip the damned things out. But unlike CCFLs you cant just turn the light off, without turning the fan off. I've got a 120mm blue fan in the back of my Kandalf, and a 120mm in the front, and I deeply wish they were both standard boring black. Especially since it folds during the night in my bedroom.

| You can add a switch to the leds on the fans. I had done this a few years back.

| Bah, I don't know if that was meant as sarcasm or prodding for me to actually finish something. It's gonna look cool, eventually.

| I am digging it. The cool thing about submerged pumps is they are almost silent.

| Yeah, soldering a switch to the fan LED's should be easy. I'm good with'em though, because I don't sleep in the room my comp is in, and I usually turn it off at night anyways. My case doesn't have a CCFL, so I'm stuck with lighting it with case fans. Works out okay for me, but I could see frustration if I had to sleep with it on in the same room.

| They are simply too bright for my taste. Poorly tinted white light. I have 2 12" CCFL's in my current case, and i never turn them on. 3 led cheapo fans and 2 3-led lights look soooo much better.

| I have a few UV CCFL's and they are ok. Not very bright. I do like the control Leds give I had a few 3 led sets and some other big bright leds in my last setup. I could change the color of certain areas of the case to accent hardware. Like the red in my reservoir. Leds light up plexi and acrylic very nice..

| It seems to me that you've finished a few more than your share of projects. So you may look upon my remarks as gentle encouragement and appreciation.":O}

| I'm gonna be needing an AOA case badge when this is all done. Who should I talk to bout that?

| Painted the bezel. Here's the door hanging to dry. I'm going with Hammed Metal black and matte black on the exterior, and a metallic blue on the frame. I'm not painted the whole thing yet, but the plastic parts need some time to cure, so I painted them early.

| The material the reservoir is slowly being constructed from: Under ambient white light, it's a very pale blue, but glows really nice when you put LEDs to it.

| This is the top of the reservoir with the Window that will support it's weight installed, and the cap we made out of 3/4" Acrylic plate. I lapped the cap. The matte finnish glows brighter than shiny, and the cap is going to get scratched, it's only a matter of time in that one. I can't fully assemble the reservoir. I'm waiting on a .703 drill for the 1/2 NPT tap for the fittings. the two pieces in this picture are seperated by a .235 thick piece of 5" dia. 1/4" wall acrylic tube. They are held to each other with 6-32 stainless threaded rod, with 2 (smashed) .050 thick rubber washers, and a .200" long .375 dia aluminum spacer, terminating in Stainless washers and acorn nuts on either side. The cap is supposed to have an o-ring on it, but the ones I bought are slightly too big. I have more on the way that will work. The window is bronze polycarbonate, the reservoir top is blue uv reactive acrylic. I have a 5 led light under the cap in the pic. The fan ducts will be anchored the same way. This might explain why this is taking so damn long.

| the pieces are bonded, acrylic to acrylic. the polycarbonate is not bonded. The cement for acrylic to polycarbonate has a cure time of 10 to 12 days. I am not that patient. The acrylic to acrylic only cement sticks in 45 seconds and cures in 8 hours.
