Unhappy Help With PetCarrior ll needed

I haven't started to troubleshoot yet but hope fully some one has dealt with this one. I've got all aftermarket coolers mounted on the EVGA 790i Ultra (if need be, refer to to thread "PetCarrier ll has begun!")
As you can see, things are a bit cramped in a small area. Vid card goes in there to.
This pic is before test bench, where I haven't got a single beep-I've swapped memory in and out-both the original Micron ans some new G.Skills. The readout is the same---FF.
The only clue and it scares me, is that the fan for the MCP, when plugged into the 3pin MCP/SPP fan connector didn't spin up-it would start to spin when I powered off. when I connected to a no-name 3pin, it spun right up.
Someone please tell me this is a simple one and I dumb not to have caught it. I'll start to hunt in the am,

Mine reads FF when running fine.

Did you run it before putting it in the case. (so to speak). Make sure nothing is shorted on the back. (standoff)

It was running in my tower so I just put on the aftermarket chipset coolers and put it on the tray before I put any power to it.
My communications agian. I stripped it all down, to install coolig system and to apply Arctic Silver Ceramaque to all. Then I put it on the tray.
This AM, I decided to do the right proper test bench-no difference so I pulled the CPU and it looks like there are 2 pins in the socket that are bent. Even with a magnifying glass I can't be sure but those two (side-by-side) shine different than all the rest! my evil twin will bet a buck that is it.
I pulled the HSF & CPU and installed it in the 780I SLI MCP and PetCarrier ll is running right now-It's not complete-PSU isn't fasened down yet. I don't have the switches installed and the DVD needs to bee fastend perment.
Next month I'll take the 790i down to the jewlers and have them take a look at the socket and see if that is it-gotta be-would something loke that destroy the board? Didn't hurt anything els as I can tell.
I did a quick install of XP so I could get to my WIN 7 .ISO-I've got to do a little temp reading but I'll be folding by 0-dark-30!

The mod looks good! The batteries should be charged enough so I can take a few shots. I'll post them in the regular thread.

I like it! I thought there would be more room for a computer, but that must be a pretty small carrier.
Good job fitting the expansion slots. Are you planning to paint the carrier?

You would be surprised at the room-more than there was in my Tower!
A lot of it though is you can use the room more eficiently than you can in the box.

I hadn't given painting a thought! My first reaction was no, but even as I type this, it kind of intrigues me. What kind of paint will work on this plastic? And you just got drafted in giveing me some color scemes!

there is plastic paint that adheres to plastic furniture and surfaces really well. I found it Krylon Fusion
The thicker you coat it the more abuse it can handle because you won't see the scratches.
Color schemes can be interesting. I usually use dark colors, but what were you thinking so far?

black always looks great on a computer case. Even if its a pet carrier. Actually I would recommend painting your pet carrier for your pets too...
Anyways, unless you want to paint any other colors... red or blue highlights can look real good. I prefer earthtones, but maybe a medium gray?
If you are not interested in masking a design you could easily cut out a design in the plastick, paint it, and then mount it back on the carrier.
One thing I have not tried before is creating my own custom stickers and cleverly placing them onto a case for design.

I'll have to give that some thought, but laying out a design in tape and panting another coat wont work as the surface isnt
't smooth and the paint will bleed.

Exactly, so I think masking is out of the question.
I would probably pencil in a small design on the carier and then cut it out.
Paint the cut piece and then find a way to glue or mount it back from where it was cut.

My time frame has changed a bit. I "might" be painting today but I realize my thinking was wrong about air flow in this thing. That big front door seemed to be perfect for eliminating the heat-I'm in the process of going just the opposite with two 80 MM blow holes in the top. I've just added an 80 right in front of the two HD. I've a couple of errands so I'll pick up paint!

The top is done painting! I took your advice and went with Krylon Fusion.
I decided to go with black textured shimmer, three coats. I was going to do a clear coat but Fusion has a clear coat they call Mystic Shimmer Effect, three coats.
I could tell the clear coat but there isn't much in the way of color effects. I'm out of sunlight, maybe, Textured shimmer, maybe, but it's still a clear coat and they were all on sale for $2.25 off. Here is the top. I need to get to work on the bottom while I still have light.

Edit: I went to paint the bottom and a ray of sun hit my deck! New pics!
