quiet PSU 520W?

Does anyone know of a quiet PSU 520W with at least 4 native SATA Connectors, this is for an ATX board and is going to be in a set-top PVR hence the need for quiet. I would prefer no bells and whistles like LED fans and such but they dont really hurt either.

Thanx

Rayston

I've had good experience with the TTGI/Superflow PSUs. The 4-fan model is very quiet unless you are really hitting it hard and the fans crank up. They also have a fanless model, although I think the biggest one they have is 450W. I don't know off the top of my head the number of SATA connectors, though. I think mine only has two, but it is about two years old now. The thing to remember about the TTGI PSUs is that they are budget units, not top-of-the-line. For a budget unit, they are quite good, IMHO.

Hmm, ill check that out, so far I cant seem to find a spec sheet that specifies how many SATA connecters there various models have.

I found this

Antec TruePower 2.0 TP-II 550 550W Power Supply
http://geek.pricegrabber.com/rating_...0826/id_type=M

anyone had any experience with Antec? or this specific PSU?

Thanx

Rayston

I have one of the TruePower 420s, and they are good units, IMHO, although I think they are a bit pricey.

I had Antec True Power 430 Watts.
Good PSU quiet fans and +12 rail was 11.95-11.96 at full load (multimeter's value).
Current Enermax 465 --> 12.08 - 12.09 at full load and supplies more fans.

As brad says, I've just received a Tagan 530W modular PSU. I'll let you know how noisy it is when its installed later tonight.

I have an enermax eg565v-pe 565w unit that is SLi certified, ATX 2.0(24pin, dual 12v rails), and make no sound, whatsoever. Nor does it dump out alot of heat.

All the rails are fairly steady, but when it comes to overclocking, my system is far more stable with my OCZ 520w non-SLI, even though i am running 2x7800GTX's in SLi.

THe ocz has adjustable rails, allowing to get rid of the droop on the line that affects the enermax unit, and hence system stability. But the noise is far greater fomr the OCZ, as is the heat.

I now use a PCP&C 510 Sli PSU, its absolutely amazing, plus being the newer revision is almost silent, probably far too much of an overkill for what he's requiring but im so glad I got it, its running only one 7800 but 3 hdd, 2 opticals, 1 floppy, 1 pump and 11 fans and with a max 38A on 12V is so solid
