| Unwise? Got an Artic Freezer 64 Pro that is a too noisy for my taste. Would it be unwise to reduce HS fan voltage to 7watts? Is there something else I can do to quiet him down?

| I dont think it would damage the fan, and as long as you make sure your temps are OK you should be good to go. If the fan is older you could add some oil to the bearings to keep it running smoothly

| If you reduced your fan speed then ofcourse your CPU temp would increase depending on how much your fan has slowed down, but if your temps only increase by a small amount then you're good to go

| Had to admit that the freezer do his job very well, but right now is the only fan I can hear. I would lower the voltage later on (waiting for some ram to arrive) and let you know. Thanks guys. BTW; is all Redroar fault.
