Seeing that a bit with two cores. So I guess I'll be using a second radiator next year when I can make the leap. Have you pushed harder or are you waiting better cooling?

Just wondering if the 3.6 we see in duel will be possible?

The cpu can do abit more and windows is stable at 3.2GHz but folding throws a fit every now and then claiming its overheating. I doubt i'd get much more out of it with this board at least. 400MHz was pretty much the wall with my dual core getting 360MHz fsb out of a quad core is good going with the chipset.

I'll replace my mobo with an X38 in a few months time when they're out. I may change the cpu block at the same time, its a good starter block but i think some of the newer ones are better. (eg Aqua RX Series-R2 UFO CPU Waterblock CL-W0092)

With my radiators now inside a warm room rather than hanging out of the window, and my gpu adding to water temps it does run on the warm side.

As for the watercooling i use is
BigWater 745 - CL-W0076

I also use the ati x1900 water block TMG AT3 CL-W0131
i will do a review of it eventually!! Needless to say overclocked and fully loaded my gpu run at around 40C which is 10C cooler than using the stock cooler idle! The overclock i get exceeds the max the ati tool allows

It's a good cooler as it has a nigh on silent fan which keeps the voltage regulators and the big copper lump cools the ram chips as well.

They do a similar block for the NV 8800, TMG ND4 CL-W0153

Needless to say I and many another X2'er are looking forward to your Quad set up review. Thanks for filing in some of the blanks for me here. Enjoy! ":O}

Sheessh, Ron, you weren't kidding when you said you were bored. Are you trying to unseat the Bard as King of the thread-raisers?

not really. just found one I liked. water cooling is fun and a poke at the 'bard' was hard to pass up.
and he gave me some good advice on getting the post count up to 2K+. I think he said something about
spamming my way up. I took it as a challenge at first. a challenge to be creative in the quest.

Well I know its not popular to say but, I like Spam just plain with a little butter and mustard in a sandwich. Spam and eggs is good..... Uh I suppose you are talking about the other spam... Well fine....
More importantly I love watercooling..... 10th year of WC'ing just completed with no problems ever that made it to my system...
I once bought a Switech waterblock that suffered from a defective soldering job and had the tiniest leak. It leake about one drop every 15 minutes. Due to testing it never made it into my case. I still use Swiftech blocks today. WZ-3 has been running 24/7 now with only the occasional reboot for going on 3 years with this conroe running 4500mhz daily. Since it was new. I loaded window at 4500mhz I bios updated at 4500 the only time it has not run at 4500 it was running higher...as high as 5000mhz and never less than 1.55 volts and often at 1.65volts all made possible by water cooling......

You know I should probably start a thread and revisit my water cooling
system and why I do the things I do to achieve such good cooling with my liquid system and how it simultaneously cools the entire system which kills any threat of condensation....

WZ

I like it fried, a little crispy, with eggs or in a sandwich as well!

I have the blocks, pumps and tubing for the vid cards. need one or two rads to complete the set up.
time is a little scarce. as long as the ambient temps are down I remain reluctant to shut down the folding
until I have finished testing for leaks and flow.

yes, mayhaps you would entertain a new thread.

Been looking at water kits again as I ha e a stock cooler on my quadcore system. Only thing is I don't have a lot of room in the system. But I've seen kits in the neighborhood of $69.00.
