| Notebook Hardware Control. Great application for setting up your laptop's performance schemes just how you want them, dicovered this while trying to get my laptop (which has a 1.73GHz Intel Sonoma CPU) to shift from 795MHz, for some reasons the Dell Inspiron 6000 does not seem to like Intel Speedstep and it was crawling along, now instead of running at a slow speed and then stepping up when its far too late it will step the CPU up one multiplier for every 10% increase in CPU load above 30% and you notice the difference quite a bit. This program will also give detailed battery capacities and battery wear information. Just remember to enable advanced options/interface and it will give you all the good bits....
