![]() Max Number of clients increased to 100 Under NT/2K/XP. Danish Language Added To List. EM no longer plays sounds when in Stealth Mode. Increased time out interval for stats. New Problem Alert Tray Icon. Automatically Generate HTML Stats Files. Frames = 0 Now recognized. Stats auto-check no longer cleared when error occurs. Because the NT/2K/XP OS can handle more than 50 clients, I increased the maximum number to 100 for those OS's. 95/98/ME can watch 50 maximum. Danish Language has been updated and added to the list of languages supported by EM III. When in stealth mode, EM would play error sounds. This has been disabled. The Stanford stats servers are very slow when your user stats are requested. Many times EM would timeout before recovery could occur. The timeout has been doubled from 30 seconds to 60. This should allow most people to recover their scores. EM III now has a second tray Icon. It shows the error status of the clients you are watching. This new Icon can be used or not. Make the selection in the Options menu. If a problem occurs, a red light-bulb will blink in your tray. This allows you to have no sounds and EM can be minimized and you can be warned if an error occurs. Two new stats pages can now be generated automatically. One is pretty much identical to the one you can currently generate in the HTML options page. In order to select what fields will be created, you need to go to the HTML creation page, make your selections and changes, then press the make button. This locks in the settings. Now, you can select the next HTML option page and set it up to create pages at different selected times or intervals. You can make the page show just today's stats, or today and a selected number of days prior to today. In other words, you can select to show stats for today, today + the previous 24 hours, etc. You can send this info to any folder on any HD on your system or on the network. The second page you can create is graphical. The protein view you select will determine what the page looks like. The graphics and the HTML page can be sent to any folder on your HD or on the network. This page and graphic is generated after each frame is finished. You can see a sample of this here: http://home.attbi.com/~wxdude2/image...tprogress.html Since many times it takes a while before I find out how many frames a protein has, I have added a feature that allows me to release a protein data file with a zero in the frames category. EM III knows what the frames are, but it uses the file to make sure the right protein and the right frames match. Stanford has released proteins with the same names and different numbers of frames... this is just a check up that makes sure you have the right protein when you are generating HTML stats. But, to make the program display the correct number of points, it will now assume that a zero matches the points... eventually I will know how many points the protein has and will enter it into the file and post it. Since EM can autoupdate the protein file this shouldn't be an issue. When I was tracking down the bug that caused EM to freeze up sometimes when checking the stats at Stanford, I had added a feature that would turn off stats checking in the current session when an error occurred recovering the stats. Now that the freezing issue is gone, I have removed the code that turned off the stats checking if an error occurs. Lastly, you will notice a feature in the new HTML section of the options menu that says "Activate EM Web Server When EM starts" that is not enabled. Sometime in the next day or so I will release a personal web server that can be used in conjunction with Electron Microscope and with KD Fold. It will allow you to check your stats from anywhere using a browser as long as your computer is connected to the internet. The free version will have a limited set of features, but the full version will not only allow you to set up a complete web site on your computer that will allow access to web pages, and any files, but will allow you to do some "remote control" stuff if you send the right password. I'll be releasing a lot more information over the next couple of days. You can view an image of the program here: http://www.em-dc.com/emserver/ The proceeds from this shareware program will be going to support the expansion of the EM-DC web site and the support of other DC programs in the future. Since it can be a "one button" server it's pretty cool. Get Stuff Here: http://www.em-dc.com http://www.em-dc.com/images/latestem.jpg
