![]() Fixed the EM version alert EM can now work in read only mode EM can now track very slow box There was a problem detecting the presence of an internet connection when the alert message was clicked. This issue has been fixed. I have finally figured out a solution to the issue where some security is compromised on some systems when F@H files and folders have to be set to read and write over the network. This is no longer necessary. EM will now work either way. If it is read and write or just read only, EM will function correctly. This has not been fully tested yet on Linux based systems that use Samba or some other method to expose Linux folders to the Windows OS. If you have issues and you're using Linux, please let me know. I'm pretty sure it will work correctly, but I may have missed something since I can't really test it. I know some of you who have a bunch of slow boxen have been asking for a fix to this issue because EM doesn't track a box (frame rate) if it is very slow. EM can now track a box 16 times slower than the slowest box it could track previously. That should put just about anyone into that ballpark. While I have tested everything and it seems to work perfectly, please let me know if you have any issues with this new ability. A big thank you to everyone who has contributed a few dollars to help me keep the EM-DC web site up and running. Every little bit helps and I appreciate the donations. ![]() Please check the protein page to see if you might have one of my missing xyz protein files. Thanks! ![]() Get the latest version here: http://www.em-dc.com http://www.em-dc.com/images/latestem.jpg

EM can't "guess" how long a frame will take for a protein. Has to see at least 1 frame complete before filling in the blanks. Once it has seen that protein and saved it in the database, it will look it up if it sees it come in again and will know the frame rate, and from there know everything else. But, it does take some time to build up a record of protein frame times. ![]()

OK, now I've made this for a team logo, how do I go about replacing the current default logo on top of EM3? I don't know if we are sticking with this one, but I would like to see how it looks with the default EM3 skin...

TeamLogoTop=C:\Program Files\EMIII\teamlogo.jpg EDIT: WEATHERMAN says not to do this, so don't do it. Just put the pic in the EMIII folder.

You should never modify the emptyskin.ini file. That is a reference file that allows EM to update and use new skin abilities without crashing old skin settings. ![]() You can do this one of two ways. Easiest is to simply put the file called teamlogo.jpg (can also be teamlogo.gif or teamlogo.bmp) into the same folder EM runs in. EM looks for this file when it starts and will display it when it finds it there. Second way is to put the teamlogo image file into the skin folder you want to use it with. Then go to the skins menu in the options area. Select the skin you put it in, no need to do this if you put it into the current skin, then find the "TeamLogoPic" item in the select list and choose it. Next, type in the name of the team logo file (no path, just the name) like TeamLogo.jpg Now press Save Item Value Change (this updates the info) Press the Save Skin INI File button. Press Yes, and you're finished. That skin will now load that logo each time you select that skin.

For anyone who wants to use this, just right click the image above, download it to your f@h folder and you're good to go! ![]() It's already named teamlogo.jpg

I got off easy on this one. I'll still play a bit and see if I can come up with something with a few small graphics in it to spruce it up a little. (Not that there is anything wrong with your Logo Allan - ![]() BTW: Allan, I think you meant to say stick it in the EM folder and NOT the F@H folder. Right?

You're better off linking the files. They change too often to easily keep up with. My entire web site will soon be hosted elsewhere, so simply pointing to the download page using the EM-DC domain name is the safest way to go: http://www.em-dc.com/download.html
