Sometimes, my stupidity knows no bounds.

I got a new laptop recently. I was wondering why it wouldn't last more than an hour or so when it was running on batteries. My previous laptop of the exact same model would last around 3 hours. It turns out I had installed FAH on it. Guys, if for some bizarre reason your laptop seems to be running short, check to see if you have FAH on it. Now I remember to stop it when I unplug it from the wall.

EDIT: Seriously, I even called up Dell to return it because I thought something was wrong.

It's amazing little time you get on batteries when the CPU's running full tilt at reduced clockspeed isn't it? I always find it rather scary to be honest.

Any program that pegs the CPU at 100% will chew through batteries like that unfortunately.
