No more -forceSSE

The -forceSSE flag is NOT supported in the V5 clients of folding@home. Keep this in mind if you upgrade!

It should however detect the available instructions by itself, and use SSE if it is there. You can still use -forceasm, btw.

"Instruct the core to use SSE/3DNow assembly instructions if possible, even if it has previously made the determination that the machine may not be handling this well. "

After installing the new client and upgrading Electron Microscope I was amazed to see extremely low temps. I was really impressed with what a new fan on the CPU heatsink can do until I checked how F@H was doing - and it was doing nothing. I took me too long to realise that I had the forcesse argument in EM and that it stopped the process totally...

Well. Now I´m folding again!
