Despite a lot of people pulling up impressive scores, the total team output by the looks of it is dropping? Just looking at the Extreme Overclocking stats page under team overtake, and there is nobody in the top 40 that is producing less than Team 45, so we are not going to be moving up any time soon, but there are about 6 teams ranked 50 or below that are going at an insane rate, and will be overtaking in the next 6 months, with Team Vietnam outproducing by 20,000 points / day. Ouch.

Hmm, well just shy of the 20k I've received my electricity bill. Upshot: no more folding.

Depends so much on what the computer is. 3 of my folders are laptops (P3 600, P4 2Ghz, Dothan 2Ghz) so they use nothing compared to a full machine.

The beast only has an Enermax 431W so its not all that bad. The unix machines (both Tbreds at 2600+) run on a 220W Antec and a 250W Antec. No 3d cards, one hard disk each, one stick of DDR each. I dont get the bill so I dont care

Leccy bill is the big killer for me
7 machines folding with another 2 possibly joing in soon(Abit KT7A with an XP2400 in and an AMD64 3500)If the leccy bill was far less(last one i think £166)I would have them all running 24/7

ditto for my scale down, one is down due to hardware failure, another has had to be cut due to leccy bill, and a third is down as its owner has gone home for the holidays and its not online. he will be getting me to build him a killer rig over the summer which of course will fold (probably a dual core!)

Jeez, this thread is depressing and I'm not helping

Two of my work machines are down, one because of heat issues and the other got replaced with a laptop. One of my home machines is down because of hardware and the other is just coming on again this week after a rebuild.

I think I've got one, maybe two running at the moment.

well a typical machine draws about 100-175W while folding, factor in psu inefficiency and thats 130-250W, so every 7.5-4 hours a KW is used, so thats 3-6KWatt/H a day so what ever your power company charges per KWatt/H is what each machine will cost

Thats not counting a monitor though

Yeah, I figured out that with our current rates it costs me about $13/month/machine to fold for the ones I have at home. The ones at the office aren't a problem because they run all the ime anyway. However, the ones at the office frequently get tasked for other chores, so I don't get to use them as much as I would like.

i have. I have alot of electronics...almost a full recording studio...then extra freezers becasue we get our meat by the half-cow, and all the regular stuff...in an condo complex that was built during some of the lowest property seasons, so costs were cut everywhere. It's barely habitable...it takes 15 minutes for hot water to reach any tap in the house...and i have my own tank...i've had a tv,and my x800xtpe die(both were connected, so i think related), a bike stolen...

in the old place..we have had a couple of break and enter's, a fire, and weekly stabbings/murders in the neighbourhood, and regular sewer back-ups. At least this palce i don't have to worry about my kids playing outside in the line of stray bullets, and inside they won't be playing with raw sewage. I think i can deal with having just 2 pc's...
