another storm

the Northwest was struck by another November storm with high winds and loads of rain. it caused a few 100,000 power outages. mine lasted 12 and 4 hours each. I am still shocked by how quiet it is without the hum of electric appliances and 10 computers.
I won't say the storm caused my Linux box to freak, I know it had issues on restart. tried a fresh install of 64 bit Ubuntu. couldn't get folding right so now I'm back with XP for a while. I mean it's folding again, the lights are on, the storm has passed and I have the steady hum of computers in my ears.

We have been having a few November storms here as well. Nothing like lightening and thunder in November.

Glad to hear your well and back up and running.

thunder? lightning? try 85mph wind gusts with 65mph sustained. blows down trees/power lines.
