Somethings changed!

I don't understand what FAH is doing, long period of nothing, no client unit to run, then this (see pic.) three units, but not 100 utilization....?

Daniel, can you post the log file here? You'll find it in the folding directory, probably /home/daniel/fah or something like that. It will be called fahlog.txt or the like.

Paste it into a code box here so I can have a look.

Also, try re-starting the client and see if the problem resolves.

Sorry I was messing about where I shouldn't have trying to get the client to load units ahead of time as I'm always waiting for them...anyway I took the cowards way out and reinstalled it.

But it's still scewd up and I still can't find the FAH file....anywhere! It filled in my personal info so it may have retained something I did...sigh...LOL

Oh Dan. You're getting creative again

All I wanted you to do was copy the logfile, and then paste it here in a:

Code:
some silly file
format.

Don't think too much. You tend to make things difficult by asking the HARD questions and NOT asking the EASY questions LOL

Where do we stand now? Are you folding, or not? Let me know so I can help get you back on track. Do you have mlocate installed? Try:

Code:
locate FAHlog
(note the caps, it is case-sensitive)

I think I know what I did wrong when I use the applet to un-install and then Re-install...I think I should have re-booted to clear remining files before reinstalling.

Hmmm.... I tried to update Mint and go a message saying to use terminal to fix Updates, gave a line of code....Sorry no pics.

I did, Terminal, Said that FHA was already running and to re-boot...??? I thought this was about Mint updates! I guess FHA intersects in some way.

Got impatient with the process...":O}

uninstalled and rebooted now trying for and install.

Evidently the System sees FHA as a Package update service. I couldn't run uninstall/Install untill I shut Mint update Down and did the Terminal thing to correct Mint.. which seems to have tried to fix FHA instead!

I'll get back when more is known! ":O}

I may...or may not have found it! You be the judge! ":O}
Code:
package Tie::RefHash;

use vars qw/$VERSION/;

$VERSION = "1.39";

use 5.005;

=head1 NAME

Tie::RefHash - use references as hash keys

=head1 SYNOPSIS

    require 5.004;
    use Tie::RefHash;
    tie HASHVARIABLE, 'Tie::RefHash', LIST;
    tie HASHVARIABLE, 'Tie::RefHash::Nestable', LIST;

    untie HASHVARIABLE;

=head1 DESCRIPTION

This module provides the ability to use references as hash keys if you
first C<tie> the hash variable to this module. Normally, only the
keys of the tied hash itself are preserved as references; to use
references as keys in hashes-of-hashes, use Tie::RefHash::Nestable,
included as part of Tie::RefHash.

It is implemented using the standard perl TIEHASH interface. Please
see the C<tie> entry in perlfunc(1) and perltie(1) for more information.

The Nestable version works by looking for hash references being stored
and converting them to tied hashes so that they too can have
references as keys. This will happen without warning whenever you
store a reference to one of your own hashes in the tied hash.

=head1 EXAMPLE

    use Tie::RefHash;
    tie %h, 'Tie::RefHash';
    $a = [];
    $b = {};
    $c = \*main;
    $d = \"gunk";
    $e = sub { 'foo' };
    %h = ($a => 1, $b => 2, $c => 3, $d => 4, $e => 5);
    $a->[0] = 'foo';
    $b->{foo} = 'bar';
    for (keys %h) {
       print ref($_), "\n";
    }

    tie %h, 'Tie::RefHash::Nestable';
    $h{$a}->{$b} = 1;
    for (keys %h, keys %{$h{$a}}) {
       print ref($_), "\n";
    }

=head1 THREAD SUPPORT

L<Tie::RefHash> fully supports threading using the C<CLONE> method.

=head1 STORABLE SUPPORT

L<Storable> hooks are provided for semantically correct serialization and
cloning of tied refhashes.

=head1 RELIC SUPPORT

This version of Tie::RefHash seems to no longer work with 5.004. This has not
been throughly investigated. Patches welcome ;-)

Ok I got it! Big Smile on my face!! ":O}

When messing about I set the processer to Uni-core instead of SMP, it was only using one of my cores...silly FHA!

Thank you for taking a look at this ThunderRd....But I'm just to fast for you! LOL

What are "Slots" is this where I gather units for future use? I want to download three or four to maintain my cores training program!

Nah, but I have to sleep sometimes

Glad you found the answer. Now, it would be a good idea to locate your folding directory. There, you will find your FAHlog. I'll need to see it any time you have a problem. The FAHlog is the file that shows the steps completed and the times, not that code you posted. Here is a snippet of a FAHlog:

Code:

I am not using the same client you are, I use only the console client and it's a lot less fancy, but "slots" as I understand it are for additional clients runnig on the same machine, for example, you have 1 SMP client and 2 GPU clients in three slots. [All on the same box]
