How To: Build a F@H Box

I wrote this article last night and would like to share it with everyone. It tells about how to build a F@H box for under $230, that can also give decent gaming performance!

We have some rules concerning allied sites, etc, that might conflict here.

I like the willingness to waive the AOA flag. However, you'll need to go "through the proper channels" to get permission to use it.

Oh, and the pages load EXTREMELY slow, like 5 minutes. You might need to cut down the size of images or move the site to a dedicated line.

Concerning the article, yes you're on track... but there are a lot of other things (including what steve pointed out) that were not included that would have to be considered (connecting it to the network and actually being able to administer the box).

I don't think you'll get boot without a keyboard, but then again most bios allow for that to be bypassed nowadays.

I'm assuming that Sigma is thanking me for helping out with some of the PHP coding, and I am most greatful for his acknowledgement of my helping. However, this is borderline on breaking our reader advertisement policy, as Pinky has stated. I'm not sure of the exact circumstances surrounding this event, but I believe the implied usage of the AOA button was to signify which sites were Allies.

Anyway, it seems like Steve, Pinky, and Allan sorted this all out, so I'm outta here

In the past sites have asked if they might link to AOA; With the understanding that "WE" (AOA) only in turn link to ALLIED Sites and that becoming an Allied Site requires a vote by AOA Staff, I have allowed non Allied Sites to link to us.

However Posting news of one's own article, or articles on one's owe site is a no no. Please refrain in the future from doing so.

There are exceptions. Sometimes a valuable piece of information will be brought here anonymously (like the recent tbred unlocking thread from another forum). It's very tough to differentiate between self promotion, etc.

It was obvious to several of us right from the get-go this was self promotion.

Nothing in your article couldn't be discussed or cut/pasted into a thread here. That was Daniel's point.

Just don't go away mad... I certainly understanding "leaving" as I have a couple forums myself due to members or rules or the conduct of administration... but just know coming back will always be welcomed as there's no ill-will on this side of things .

Sigma, your advice here has always been greatly appreciated. But I feel as though you need to pee or get off the pot. You've made it clear that you'd be better off in other places, like your threating us in someway. And that IF you leave then AOA will come crashing down.

I'm sorry you've had a problem with the rules, but those are the rules that you agreed to stick too. Trying to slam AOA for the rules that is has set in place will get you no were.

Too bad I didn't get you meet you at Camp AOA I was looking forward to it (ask Spyder) It would have been nice to sit and talk with you. Maybe help get you on the same page with the rest of AOA.

Sigma, the loss of someone of your intelligence and commitment would be a sad day for the AOA Forum. The loss of any member is a sad thing. Like Pinky said please don't go away mad though if you do leave. I have made it a habit of re-reading the rules from time to time just so I don't forget them. None of us is beyond making a mistake and crossing the line without really knowing you are doing it. That's life. The last time I did it Daniel reprimanded me and all except for me forgot it. Now I make even more effort to know the rules and abide.

AOA's rules are what make this place as special as it is.
