You dual 1GHz is PIII dude... And even with the kick@$$ power of P4, you STILL can't spell... Or type.

And it's not a 2.8GHz stock, you said it's a 2.26GHz OC'd with stock Intel P4 cooling to 2.8GHz...

I could have swore you guys would know better than this. Please save your personal attacks for E-mail or your favorite instant messenger service, they do not better this community in any way, and frankly I don't want to see them . . .

I'm pleased intel finally caught up in the folding game... may have something to do with FatH finally using SSE

srry! but i dont know what brings sigma to act like that- and my responces are always in defence to false accusations.
AHHH [H] !!!
My p4 2.26 retail box was $240 localy- the board was $156- worth it for the speed- stability- and the kewl p4 cooler paper weight :-D

Actually FAH has been compiled with SSE support for some time. I would suspect that stanford has coded a mechanism that snatches up your CPU string and sends it to the server whenever you download a new core, then the server can send you a core best optimized for your CPU. Such a scheme seems likely because it would allow stanford to send out cores compiled with the old P3 optimized Intel Fortran compilers to P3 and Athlon XP users, and would also let them send out cores compiled with the newer P4 optimized Intel Fortran compilers to P4 machines.
