The New Team45 Badge! This is your chance to have a picture in your signature, showing people how you use your clock cycles!! The badge is even updated daily, so it'll alway show the latest stats! It looks like this: http://www.aoaforums.com/forum/teams...it_makes_sense Who can use this badge? Anyone who is an active member of the AOA Folding@home2 team. Are you not a member? Go here Do I HAVE to wear this badge? Absolutely not, this is up to you. On the other hand, why hide your contributions to mankind? OK, how do I add the picture to my signature? It's best to read these instructions first before trying it out. You'll need to know what your F@H username is, so make a note of it if you don't already know. For the example above, the F@H username is 'you_know_it_makes_sense'. Next, click here to edit your signature If you have the old Team45 F@H logo, you will want to delete it first. Once you're ready, add the following line, but remember to change the "PUT_YOUR_ID_HERE" so that it is your F@H username! PHP Code: PHP Code: Thats it! Go do it NOW, and FOLD ON! Sorry about the interesting colours - they're not intended! |
Looks good, when does it update the WU's? Thanks Chilliwilli and Áedán :) |
It updates the WUs once a day, about midnight server time. |
Cool new graphic, but its showing me with 0 WU's! I've done at least 1 in the past few months! Laz. |
You might want to make this badge a link to our FAQ, if someone takes an interest to it. Mine looks like this, in order to handle that linking. Just remember to change username and you are good to go! PHP Code: Thanks goes to Chilliwilli for making this new badge, and to the admins for making it possible behind the scenes. |
Laz, it's a bug - I'm seeing if I can track it down. Fixed it. |
Beautiful! I like it! Big props to Chilliwilli for all his work. |
ooo swanky badge :-) added allready, shows up my measly score :p |
Well done Chilli and Aedan! Test driving mine now... |
Good job! |
You are both owed a great many thanks, Thanks Chilli and Aedan for the new badge of concern! |
Looks excellent. Great job Chili!! ... Still nags me about the milestones... it tops out at 50K in red... Since we show the score, can't we just make it change to a different color, without the milestones? |
Nice!! Rob |
very nice but i cant get it to display on another forum that also supports the [img] tag. it just shows up as the [img ][/img ] tags with the url in between. |
Áedán, awesome! Cheers for installing this. I think you may want to increase the allowed number of colours ever so slightly though.. (it's an option at the top of the script). The 50,000 badge is looking a very odd shade of blue and some of the bubbles look a little funny. Increasing it to 64 colours shouldn't add more than 250 bytes to the image sizes. Also can you check if there's an issue with the 2500-4999 lizard image? SteveI: can you elaborate more? I was thinking of making some more awards and images to go on above and beyond 50,000 (I just ran out of lizards at the time), I realise that having 50,000 next to your amazing 300,000+ must be a little annoying. Admins: Let me know what kind of loads you are seeing generated by the script. All others: Enjoy the sig. If you have any ideas for improvements then let me know. If you want the script for yourself then http://www.chilliwilli.co.uk |

1 Attachment(s) Áedán : Apologies, you should have said something. I've added the image to the archive and fixed the readme. I'll attach the image to this post as well. As for the colour 64 should be plenty to get those images looking perfect. Must be to do with the version/setup of PHP's graphics routines included on the server. All images I'd demonstarted before were 64 colour. Thanks once again. |
Actually, I hadn't realised it was missing until you pointed it out! |
I have some idea about how to increase the perform and decrease page load times. Will see if I can make some changes to the script. At present browsers won't cache the images where as they only need to download them once a day. I'm also looking at extending the script to store images in the db each day when they are first created and then just pull them to send them to user. All images would be deleted at the end of each day so storage would be minimal and hopefully would reduce CPU time. If anyone has any other ideas. |
