Prices have dropped since Windows Vista

At last Microsoft has answered the one major remaining question about Windows 7 -- what the price point will be. Today Microsoft unleashed a plethora of information, with Windows 7 retail pricing, upgrade information, launch details, and a preorder deal all disclosed. [Front page...]

Unfortunately, they don't offer Ultimate in the pre-order half price deal which is what I'm going to be buying.
I've never had anything less than PRO(XP) or Ultimate(Vista) so I'm not going to start now as I'm using W7U now
& just love the performance & options it offers!
The price for that is going to be $219.99 for the Upgrade disk which is what I want!
Then I'm going to do the upgrade to itself trick to get the discount for the FULL OS!
I don't need to pay the full asking price of the "Retail" package as it's the same exact OS but at a much lower price...

I'm of the same mind as MUff!n but I don't know what I'm going to do yet, or should I say what I'll be able to do. I'm not going to settle for the "lessor" grades and with all that is going on here I doubt I'll have the $ for it. Even now, almost all I trade or fix goes into medical or our living situation.I'll probably go back to XP PRO for a while. That's going to be rough!

Keep in mind PPM, that this Windows 7 Ultimate Evaluation OS we are running is good till March 1st of 2010!!! So we still got a lot of time to use this & get the money up!
That's 9 months from now...

If you can put up with it shutting down every 2 hours it's good till July 1st which is 2 months more.
But if you are like me (which you are) there's noway you are going to put up with it shutting down every 2 hours!!!
