| Made the bootable USB installer and I got past the initial setup but after I deleted the partition the installer said it wasn't able to install to that drive. Error 0x80300001. I forgot to mention that this is with 64-bit. I gave up and installed the 32-bit version I have but realized today I'm only able to use 50% of my total RAM now so I need to figure out why and what is causing my issue... sent from the tellular cellaphone

| The only time I've had this issue is with the newer IBM severs. They have a sys prep disk with the correct drivers, and you then install windows from within their program. Very frustrating when you first come up against it, all the way through the initial selection options, going for the install then that error. This page seems to have pre-install drivers: GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-970A-D3 (rev. 1.0/1.1) If you have an old floppy you should be able to get it working. Your avatar doesn't show much hair, are you sure you didn't lose it in the burn?

| so you got Win7 64-bit working? What was the DVD deal? Was your DVD a SATA or IDE? It really shouldn't matter, but who knows... I've had my issues with Win7 64-bit also. I'm not impressed, but at least it uses my full 8 Gigs of Memory. Next I'm going to install Fedora 16 on another partition, we'll see how it goes...

| Cool, Glad its working now... I do recommend using a Flash Drive! I rarely have any issues with those, and its super quick to format again. Actually I recently installed Linux Mint on my flash drive with Lili and it allows me 3 options: 1. boot to live disc 2. install Mint 3. run Mint in Virtual Enviroment
