Windows 8 Refresh, Reset, and Windows To Go

Windows 8 Refresh and Reset will both make it easier to clean malfunctioning systems and restore them to a working state.

Provided those features work as described. Best idea yet.

A USB key with an entire personalised operating system installed capable of being plugged into any set of hardware sounds absolutely brilliant. Particularly if you work for a large firm with multiple offices, easier than taking a laptop.

USB keys would need some form of hardware level encryption though, IE: 3 incorrect password attempts wipes the device. The last thing companies want is sensitive data, or the means to access sensitive data falling into the hands of outsiders.

Reset, excellent, wouldn't have to re-image a machine due to a stupid user anymore!

Arrow

I still use Acronis True Image for my full OS backup needs & it has never failed me. 10 mins average for a complete OS restore to an earlier state.
The Windows imaging system eats up too much HD space whereas Acronis only requires half the original size of the OS HD area or less for a complete backup.
