Windows 8 pre-beta preview download

Anyone tried this out?
Windows Metro Style Apps Developer Downloads

Quote:
The Windows 8 Developer Preview is a pre-beta version of Windows 8 for developers. These downloads include prerelease software that may change without notice. The software is provided as is, and you bear the risk of using it. It may not be stable, operate correctly or work the way the final version of the software will. It should not be used in a production environment. The features and functionality in the prerelease software may not appear in the final version. Some product features and functionality may require advanced or additional hardware, or installation of other software.

Note: You can't uninstall the Windows 8 Developer Preview. To go back to your previous operating system, you must reinstall it from restore or installation media.

So far I'm just not feeling the joy with this new OS navigation & startup desktop at all....
Makes it a pain to get to what you want without the start menu...

Without the custom reg entries to access areas needed (rightclick desktop menu for Software & Apps, Control panel & Device manager) all the time its a pain....

Not sure if I like the new UI or not because when you hit the start button on the desktop, it takes you right back to the ugly green startup screen.
pics below...(the new file system is showing your server invalid file format on the jpeg pics I tried to upload.....hmmm)

But once you get passed that screen things are pretty much the same as W7.

Seems to be a problem with attaching JPGs at the moment.

Thanks guys...& with that, here is the screenshots.
As I said in the before post; once you get passed that "Start screen things are pretty much the same as W7"
minus the start menu. The start button on the Desktop taskbar only has a few things on it & it won't let you pin
programs to it...the prgm start icons end up on the green startscreen.

Oh btw, W8 DP x64 only took 7 minutes to do a clean install, so if you want to check it out real quick on
a spare partition you don't have to wait long for the installation
but it does take up 19 Gbs of space for the 64bit version that's 3.6Gbs.
