Are you going to listen to them or are you going to listen to me? LOL

I watch a demo last night on TV. I have a new word to go with Peanut-butter and Jam.

Until now I had foolishly envisioned people with the touch pad on there desk looking up at them in place of a keyboard... I didn't begin to grasp how stupid this idea is!

MS is demoing this like a Computor monitor, vertical.

Here's my new word Tie-Bow!

Watching the demo is like watching penguins trying to fly!

She sat straight up, who does that? ":O} She had to reach OVER her keyboard and mouse, seems you still need those.

She was wonderful, arms flying about hands spread, then closing and opening one thing after another, she must have burnt 1500 calories before she was though! What an amazing work out!

She does all of that to open , then close apps. and for me to even try to duplicate all that she did would take at lest three strokes of my keys, arms at my side, eyes forward. Hands slightly shifting two fingers flying/stumbling across my keys... OK I can be a bit of a Penguin to.":O}

My favorite part was watching as she had to move her arms out of the way to see what she had done, that's right, if you insist on using your hands on your monitor, half the screen will always be covered by...you.

If this replaces what I have now it will be a tribute to human stupidity.

This is simply NOT a workable solution. Sometimes things are the way they are because that their best form for them to take.

Do this, pretend you have a touch screen before you instead of your monitor. Now reach up and pretend to do something, anything, open an app. Now look where your hands are. Can you see through your hands? How about your reaching arms, can you see though them?

Now put your hands back on your key board, see how they REST?

It's going to be a really slow Tie Bow workout just to answer your email.

I can't understand why the world doesn't see this! ":O}

Touchscreens are a nuisance to use, but I put up with it on a phone for portability and a bigger screen.

I'll stick with keyboard and mouse for desktop, it's like the steering wheel of a car, it works, there's no need to change it.

Tablets work well for some situations. Tell me how well you can DJ using a keyboard and mouse, where you need to control more than one control at the same time. With a touch screen, that's pretty intuitive and easy to work with.

Keyboard and mouse work well for others. Touch screens require a different approach to GUI to make things work.

I think there's room for both!

Surface with Windows RT, 32 GB with Black Touch Cover: $599

Why would anyone want to pay $599 for what is basically a very low spec laptop?

Ballmer thinks these things are great, but just look at him, he is a gimp.

$600 bucks, is that with or with out keyboard and mouse, I read they cost extra? Does the cover cost extra to?

I bet Ms hasn't started giving away any apps yet, how much does to cost to flush out one of these puppies with the software that gives you the feel most assured?

$599 is with the Touch Cover included.

The Touch Cover is a screen cover and keyboard.

What can you do with Windows RT?

What does RT stand for?

The answer to both questions is the same.
