no appropriate work server was available

am I the only one not getting any new SMP work units? all of my SMP rigs (6, 4 Quads, 2 Duals) haven't had a wu for several days. these are windows machines and run the GPU client. no problems with the GPU clients.

no info on VJ's blog about that issue. nothing on the folding forums either.

could it be as simple as a new/updated core? expired? I am sure that I am running 6.29Beta on all but one (a single core).

any ideas?

I've got the same problem here. Just completed a WU today, haven't gotten a new one in several hours.

This has been an intermittent problem for a couple of months while new WUs are being prepped:

Folding Forum • View topic - No appropriate work server was available

The last several posts show others with the same problem in the last few days. I'm away from home at the moment and the shops are closed for Thai New Year. When I get back I may be facing the same...

One of the later posts in that thread says new projects are in the pipe and coming soon.

looks like I was running 6.22 on three boxes. dropped the 6.29Beta in and presto! working on 6025's @ 480 points. no times yet. just got them started a few minutes ago.

Interesting. I'm running the 6.29 client; stopped and restarted, and now I've got a WU.

interesting, yes. one box went 5 days without work and it was a fresh install (30 days ago) of 6.29. a shutdown/restart was all it took to get it back on track. the linux box never had a problem.

it's too early to claim any sort of victory but not for a collective 'pat on the back' for all who are/have/will folding/folded/fold.
