The Inquirer has the details on the nVidia G80 architecture .  Much of this has already been guessed elsewhere, but the Inq claims that this is the real deal:

"This article reveals all of the important information regarding GeForce 8800 series, which is set to be released to the world on November 8th, 2006 in San Jose."

Among other things, the article says that the G80 is 681 million transistors and pulls 140W BY ITSELF.  There are 128 Scalar Shader Units, and 64 Texture Filtering Units.  The Scalar Shader Units can handle Pixel, Vertex, Geometry, or Physics instructions.
