Page 1 of 11 Over-clockers are always looking for a way to squeeze every last drop of performance out of their hardware. This has been going on for years. Today’s Video Cards are great candidates for over-clocking. Many have high-end capabilities just waiting to be released. As any over-clocker knows, an increase in voltage can sometimes net a moderate to great increase in the overall over-clock, but there is no guarantee that this mod will offer any increase in your over-clock. With that in mind, we will be showing you how to perform a BIOS volt mod to your 6 or 7 series card.
You will need a few things before we get started. - Download a copy of NiBiTor from http://www.mvktech.net/. NiBiTor can also be found at AOAFiles. I used version 2.9a for this guide. (See appendix for a complete list of applicable video cards)
- Download nvflash version 5.13. This can be found at AOAFiles.
- Last and most important, you will need a FX 6 series or 7 series graphics card.
Before we begin, check your cards temps at idle and under load. This will give you a base point and tell you later if we have any trouble. Also make sure your card is not over-clocked.
