The Nintendo Wii game console is due to be released in the USA in November 2006, and elsewhere in December 2006.

It will be sold for $250 in the US and £179 in the UK.

The standard Wii package will be bundled with Wii Sports which features tennis, golf, bowling and boxing.

Nintendo have anounced that the Opera web browser will be made available for download and use on the Wii. It will be offered free of charge until June 2007.
