Equip Yourself

As is with most role-playing games, items such as armor and weapons play a vital role.  In Gothic 3, you can find and purchase new and better items, ranging from swords and bows to shields and armor.  There is a wide inventory of objects to discover and use, including health potions, animal skins and plants.

You will find plenty of chests to loot along the way, but don't get caught stealing or the owner may have something to say about it!

Explore Towns and Cities

On your adventures you will be able to enter many towns, farms and cities.  Within these settlements you will find many buildings which have been modelled in great detail. Look for books and other items to help you progress in the game, meet and interact with the inhabitants.

Hunting

Your character can hunt and kill various animals and beasts whilst wondering grass and woodland areas.  Kills will provide you with useful stuff like animal skins and meat for food.  Hunting is a skilled task which requires your character to learn specific abilities.  I found it to be quite tricky to successfully kill the Shy Deer.  They react and respond in a fashion similar to real animals, they will run away as soon as an arrow is fired in their direction.  Stealth and patience is required here.
