Conclusion and Pricing

The DWL-G810 is a handy little device for adding wireless capability to virtually any wired ethernet device. It has good security features, fast 108 Mbps data transfer rate and pretty much does what it says on the box.  However, It was a bit overpriced at £50 in the UK.

This model is superceeded by the newer DWL-G820, details of which are here.

The main differences appear to be increased security, as follows:

  • 64/128/152-bit WEP
  • WPA – Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA-TKIP and WPA-PSK)
