EMI planning to ditch DRM on music Print
Written by Danrok
Friday, 09 February 2007

It would appear that EMI has been planning and negotiating on allowing the sale of music online with no DRM copy protection.  EMI is based in London at owns the rights to music from artists such as Cold Play and Norah Jones.

EMI has already run trials of selling DRM free tracks back in 2006.  They will, however, need to work out a suitable deal with the online music retailers before we see their catalogue of music available DRM free.
