Sony Ericsson ROB1 Print
Written by Aidan
Tuesday, 15 March 2005

Sony Ericsson are up to their usual crazy selves again. Last time they produced the "CAR1", a bluetooth remote controlled car, the size of a matchbox. This time around, they've got one step further, and introduced the "ROB1".

ROB1, if you can't guess from the name, is a Bluetooth remote controlled camera on wheels. It's based on a 200MHzARM9 processor running a very cutdown version of Linux, and includes a bunch of bright white LEDs for night use. It happily works with a Symbian based mobile phone, and appears to work well with PCs too.

If you're in a member state of the EU, then there's good news - Sony Ericsson have a competition to win a ROB1 and a P910i phone.
