Gates makes case for action on white space broadband
By Eric Bangeman | Published: March 14, 2008 - 11:59AM CT Ars Technica As Microsoft is one of the founding members of the White Space Coalition, it's no surprise that Microsoft chairman Bill Gates wants to see the Federal Communications Commission give the green light for vacant airspace in the TV spectrum to be used for wireless broadband. The soon-to-be-retired Gates and his chief research and strategy officer Craig Mundie made the case for opening up the white spaces during an appearance in northern Virginia yesterday. [Comments...]
