GDDR4 Becoming Mainstream

Hynix announced that they are sampling 512bit GDDR4 on friday. This is news, real news, as the only other IC-maker to have such a product is...none! Samsung is currently sampling 256bit chips, with an expected "full availability" in Q2 2006. Hynix plans the same for it's 512bit chips in about the same timeframe.
