Sony, others will play HD content properly on Analog systems Print
Written by Gizmo

PC World is reporting that Sony, among others, will NOT be using the 'Image Constraint Token', at least on their first generation of Blue-Ray and HD-DVD disks.  What this means for us is that anyone who has purchased an HD display that doesn't have HDMI input capability, or a player that doesn't have HDMI output capability, will still be able to view HD content in its full glory instead of having it scaled back to normal DVD levels.
