Aghastpumpkin gives us his tips and advice on getting the very best sound from your system.
PC Speakers were until recently merely boxes that gave you the beeps and burps of your PC. When MP3's came along ten or so years ago, enthusiasts either whacked their music onto disc or connected their PC, usually trickily, to their Hi-Fi.
However, over the last few years this market has expanded rapidly, even THX certified surround systems are on sale, albeit at a costly price.
I for one don't see the need for anything over the price of about £100, as a decent Home Cinema system would cost you little more and serve you far better.
This article is based around my Creative Inspire 5.1 system which cost a mere £35. It has a decent sub woofer and the speakers produce a clear, crisp sound spanning all the frequencies suitably.
They are quite brash but the sound is overall of a high quality, although they lack the clarity of a Hi-Fi system.
