A new self-charging power cell that eliminates the need for separate batteries or generators has been developed, and could be beneficial in many different areas, such as the military.

Researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology are responsible for the latest development. Zhong Lin Wang, professor in the School of Materials Science, is the study leader who explained how the new power cells work.
