Hardware-acceleration means that are the drivers for the mouse or some mouses like logitech wireless mouses need some software in order to make the mouse pointer to work properly or something that could make it work, right? I think that is a hardware acceleration. Well I think that there is an incompability with it. Try it, if it doesn't work then something else is wrong. If you don't have an ATI card then I don't know but it helped me with games like Rallisport, NFS HP2, NHL03 and others like MOTO GP.
