Linux partitions can still suffer from fragmentation. Antivirus is definately needed, as there are viruses, trojans and worms for it. Personal firewall is also a good idea, unless you're good at turning services off. (Linux has a built in firewall, but you really need to find a program to edit the rules - doing it by hand is especially nasty.)

Spyware has yet to come, but it will. Spyware cookies affect Linux just as much as anything else.
