there are several patterns in which anti aliasing is done, and there isnt one that is perfect for all situations. Temporal anti-aliasing rotates through these patterns. It can either use two or three sets. It can effectively double the aa amount with little impact on performance.
Although there are problems. It appears vsync has to be on. and artifacts appear below 60fps. I've tried it playing lfs and it does look good real good and performance hit is minimal (apart from it bouncing on the two vsyncs) it's been avaliable as a addon feature since cat 4.4 i think. If you use omega drivers with radlink you can fully customise it all
