| The Virtual Boy concept was brilliant until accountants and health and safety got a hold. I'm pretty sure the plan was for PS1 level hardware and a head mounted display but it got scaled back to the monochrome, barely better than gameboy level visuals and due to safety concerns about people walking round with it on, turned into a table top peep show.
