| When you get Mint installed and updated you have to be careful which nvidia driver package you install. The latest I have found that work are the 180.60 set. The 185's and 190's have issues and fall on their butt with an unstable_machine error.
There are patches for the drivers and the kernel that fix the issue but it's not something I'm willing to throw upon others.
